I was in Tingloy Island Feb 1 to 3 1973. Bivouac CAT Aquinas High School San Juan Rizal by that time ( now Metro Manila ). I really kent remember the name of the Barangay. There was a elementary school where we slept. At the back of the school open auditorium or stage was a hill. The place was hilly, to mountainous, rolling and was young. Roads were dusty. No electricity. The police force are compose of three (3), the chief with a world war 2 Thompson, the other guy with a carbine and a revolver for the third. Ford Fierra was the transportation that I remember use by the policemen. Soft-drinks in a store cost 1 peso when at that time it should be 20 cents and it is understandable because supplies are hard to get to the Island. On Feb 2 our breakfast came from a big tuna fish which was not cook well. The result was LBM to majority plus that we are not accustomed to the water from deep well. This is one part of my life that I will treasure and I hope to meet friend from Tingloy Island. Manolo. 09165605148. Just mention you are from Tingloy

a very beautiful place, but no hope for prosperity.. wish a bridge will be built to connect the island to the mainland batangas,,,it would ease up peoples life and possibly become a tourist destination...the beautiful scenery of the island is very relaxing.....rich in vegetation...with a little bit of history...
